Post Cycle Therapy Supplements for the Win! – Paradigm Peptides

If you’re new to bodybuilding supplements can be daunting. However, knowing and researching exactly what you need is the key to success. Many bodybuilders have delved into the world of using anabolic steroids to up their game. If you so choose to do that then you’ll want to learn what a PCT or post cycle therapy is and how to use it.

What Are Steroids?

Anabolic steroids are essentially synthetic testosterone. When a bodybuilder consumes large amounts of anabolic steroids over time, the ensuing side effect is that the body slows down or stops creating its own testosterone. The body does this so that it stays somewhat in balance even with the influx of testosterone. For obvious reasons, you don’t under any circumstances want your body to fully stop creating testosterone. That can cause several health issues and require extensive treatment.

Not to mention, you can’t stay on steroids forever as the can cause your testicles to shrink, acne, painful erections, and several other medical issues. On the other side of all of this, if your body creates less testosterone, your feminine hormones tend to raise at a rapid rate. This includes both your estrogen and progesterone.

In the case where your female hormones rise, you’re more likely to develop breasts where there should be none. For all of these reasons combined, it is important as a bodybuilder to understand these substances. Prior to beginning any form of steroid and in some cases, SARMs, you’ll want to do your research. By doing so you’ll understand what post cycle therapy regimen is right for you. But why are post cycle therapy regimens so important? What could they possibly do for you? The answer, a lot.

Post Cycle Therapy

For starters, you’re probably wondering what a it is. It’s simple really, a post cycle therapy (PCT) is a regimen that typically lasts about four weeks. It is used as a buffer once a bodybuilder completes an anabolic steroid cycle. Why use one? Because it can help negate the negative effects that steroids are known for.

Not only that, your body in most cases requires some help returning itself to normal. Since on a normal scale, this can take several weeks. Accompanying it with a PCT can speed up the process and thereby help you keep the gains you’ve made while on the cycle.

Do I Need a PCT for SARMs?

If you’re more recently looking into bodybuilding, you may come across SARMs supplements. These substances which are selective androgen receptor modulators are similar to anabolic steroids. However, they are not nearly as harmful and instead work with your body naturally. This way you still get the muscle gains your looking for without dealing with the dozens of side effects that plague steroid users.

Of course, even though these substances, which are more selective in nature, are safer than many steroids out there. Some still do require post cycle therapy just sheerly based on their potency.  For example, SARMs like RAD 140, although anointed as safe still may require a PCT based on its potency. However, on the other hand, SARMs like Ibutamoren MK 677 and even in some cases LGD-4033 a PCT may not be needed. It all depends on the doses you choose to employ.

Most Common Post Cycle Therapy Supplements

There are currently three very popular post cycle therapy regimens out on the market. Each one does their job just slightly different. These three include Clomiphene Citrate or Clomid, Tamoxifen Citrate or Nolvadex, and something called rebirth.

Clomiphene Citrate

Clomiphene Citrate, commonly known as Clomid, is a top tier PCT when it comes to potency. In fact it is known to be one of the strongest PCTs to date. Bodybuilder’s that use more potent steroids tend to lean towards as a treatment option. Some of these steroids include things like Trenbolone.

When it comes to dosing and length of time of the PCT it more comes down to the steroid or SARM you use. Normal dosages for Clomiphene Citrate run between 20mg and 50mg. The recommended length of time to consume this substance is roughly two to four weeks.

Tamoxifen Citrate

Nolvadex, better known as Tamoxifen Citrate, is another powerful PCT. However, it doesn’t have as many side effects as its precursor, Clomid. This variation of a post cycle therapy can be used with an array of anabolic steroids. Whether they are moderate or on the more potent side.

It works by helping speed the production of testosterone. With a typical dose being between 10mg and 40mg a day. This variation of PCT is easier on the body as well. Much like Clomid, Tamoxifen Citrate is used for two to four weeks. Again, the length of your PCT can vary depending on the potency of the compounds you’re using. So bare that in mind as you decide the dosage and length.

Rebirth

Unlike the previous two variations of post cycle therapies, Rebirth is actually available over the counter. However, for those mentioned above you can still purchase them for research purposes. Rebirth is an over the counter drug available for those at the completion of their cycle. They’re typically used as a way to maintain the muscle while returning the body to normal.

Most formulas are made as a way to boost testosterone and reduce estrogen for a period of time. In many cases, Rebirth is actually the opposite of SARMs. They’re actually referred to as SERMs, or selective estrogen receptor modulators. Like the others, it is used after your cycle and the length of time is roughly four weeks that you’ll want to use it.

So now you know all about them, so where do you get your post cycle therapy supplements? How do you know what your getting? How much will you need?
